Is TraderWaves really a free trading journal?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever, not a trial, and you don’t need a credit card. It includes unlimited trade notes, screenshots and daily journals, tags, templates, trade review on the chart and up to three connected accounts.
Are notes and screenshots really unlimited on the free plan?
Yes. There is no cap on how many notes, screenshots or daily journals you add on the Free plan. Individual files still have size and format limits, so very large uploads may need resizing.
Which platforms can I import trades from?
You can connect MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, Match-Trader, TradeLocker, Tradovate and major crypto exchanges to sync trades automatically. You can also import a CSV file or add trades manually. Check the supported platforms page for your broker.
Can I use the journal without connecting a broker?
Yes. Import trades from a CSV file or add them by hand, and use the Daily Journal on days you don’t trade at all. You can connect a platform later.
Can I see my trades on a chart?
Yes. Every trade opens with a chart showing your entry and exit on the candles, alongside your notes. Pro adds Journal Charts with maximum adverse and favourable excursion (MAE and MFE).
Can I journal on my phone?
Yes. The TraderWaves iOS and Android apps let you review trades, add notes and screenshots and keep up with your daily journal. Everything stays in sync with the web workspace.
How does Wave AI use my journal notes?
Wave AI is part of Pro. Your saved journal notes are indexed automatically, so when you ask Wave AI about recurring mistakes, setups or habits, it can draw on what you wrote as well as your trade data.
What is WaveScore?
