Billing and Refunds
Find answers to common questions about subscription charges, billing dates, payment problems, invoices, cancellations and refund requests. For complete eligibility conditions, read the TraderWaves Refund Policy. If this article and a legal policy disagree, the legal policy is the one that applies.
Charges and billing dates
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel before the renewal date (Billing Policy).
The first paid charge is taken when checkout completes. Later charges follow the period you selected.
If you choose yearly billing, you pay the yearly amount up front for that year. The pricing page shows a monthly equivalent only as an average. Confirm the amount on the checkout screen, before completing the purchase.
Use the path below. Exact menu labels can vary by device.
- Open Settings.
- Open the Subscription tab, or the billing portal provided at checkout.
The portal is the source for the next renewal date.
Check these items first. Do not ignore a charge that looks duplicated.
- Monthly versus yearly Pro (yearly is one larger yearly amount).
- Add ons to your subscription.
- A pending bank authorisation that later settles as the same payment.
- Currency conversion on the card statement.
- A genuinely duplicated completed payment.
Contact info@traderwaves.com from your TraderWaves account email. Include the charge date, amount, currency and invoice or transaction reference. Never send the full card number.
Payments
Open Settings, then click on the Subscriptions tab or open the billing portal from checkout, and update the saved method there. TraderWaves does not store full card details on its servers (Billing Policy).
Payments are processed by Paddle. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Other methods may appear at checkout depending on your location.
Yes. Taxes are usually included for most countries. Double-check the amount at checkout, where any tax will be displayed.
Common causes include:
- Expired card
- Insufficient funds
- Bank decline
- Incorrect billing details
- Authentication failure (for example 3-D Secure)
- A method that checkout does not support for your location
Update the payment method in the billing portal and retry. If it still fails, ask the bank whether they blocked the merchant, then email info@traderwaves.com.
Cancellation
You can manage or cancel through account Settings or the billing portal provided at checkout, where available.
- Sign in to TraderWaves.
- Open Settings.
- Open billing or subscription, or the billing portal.
- Cancel renewal and confirm there is no future renewal date.
Plan access after cancel: Plans, Limits and Subscription Management. Refunds: the questions below and Refund Policy.

New users have a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first TraderWaves payment or subscription. Cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable and the subscription continues automatically until you cancel.
Yes, if you cancel before your renewal date. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Check Settings or the billing portal for the exact end date. After that, your account stays on Essential. See Plans, Limits and Subscription Management for what that includes.
Open Settings or the billing portal and check that there is no upcoming paid renewal. Keep any confirmation email you receive.
Cancelling does not delete your journal. Your trades stay in the account unless you remove a trading account or delete your TraderWaves account. See Plans, Limits and Subscription Management for what happens when you move back to Essential.
Refunds

Yes, on the same 14-day rule. See the Refund Policy. If anything here differs from the Refund Policy, the policy is the one that applies.
That can happen if the charge went through before the cancellation was recorded. Check the charge date against your cancellation date in Settings or the billing portal. If it still looks wrong, email info@traderwaves.com from your TraderWaves account address and include:
- The email on your TraderWaves account
- The charge date
- The amount and currency
- The invoice or transaction reference
- Your cancellation confirmation, if you have it
Please do not send your full card number.
Send an email to info@traderwaves.com from the same address you use for TraderWaves. Tell us the purchase date, the amount, the currency, and the invoice or transaction reference.
- If you want the 14-day money-back guarantee, ask within 14 days of purchase.
- We will review your request against the Refund Policy, including fair-use limits.
- We cannot promise every request will be approved, or how long the review will take.
Once a refund is approved, it goes back to the card or method you paid with. Paddle and your bank each add their own processing time, so we cannot promise a set number of days.
First check the card or method you paid with, and any refund confirmation we or Paddle sent you. If it is still missing, contact your bank or payment provider, or email info@traderwaves.com with the refund or transaction reference.
